The prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the trial court before whom Original Suit No.103 of 1970 is pending, to decide the same within a specified time frame.
The petitioner is defendant in the suit. It is pointed out that on 5.7.2017, the court fixed 12.7.2019 for argument. However on 12.7.2019, the matter was adjourned.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to the trial court to ensure that the suit is decided expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order provided there is no legal impediment.
