The prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the trial court to decide Case No.1865 of 2017 under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 within a specified time frame.
Counsel for the petitioner admits that the application under Section 24 of the Act filed by the opposite party is pending consideration.
Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of by providing that the trial court shall proceed to decide the application under Section 24 of the Act, without any further delay. After the said application is decided, the court shall deal with the matter in accordance with Section 21-B of the Act and shall endeavour to conclude the proceedings expeditiously.
