Although notices of this petition have been served upon the Assistant Solicitor General, none has appeared.
The sole relief prayed is for the grant of compassionate appointment to the petitioner consequent to the death of his father who was in the service of the fourth respondent. Although proposal for his consideration is stated to have been framed, no final decision has been conveyed to the petitioner till date.
Consequently no purpose would be served by retaining the petition on the Board of this Court and the same shall stand disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to duly attend to the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment and convey a final decision in respect thereof within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
All contentions on merits are left open.
