Petitioner's grievance is that he has not been promoted from Junior Management Grade/ Scale-I to Middle Management Grade/ Scale-II. It appears that the petitioner's claim for promotion was also considered in terms of the circular dated 14.7.2017, whereby the process for promotion was undertaken, but he was not promoted. However, reasons have not been disclosed.
There is nothing on record to show that the petitioner has approached the authorities of the bank for providing him relevant details in that regard. In the absence of reasons available on record for overlooking petitioner's claim it would be difficult to examine petitioner's grievance. In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to permit the petitioner to withdraw this petition with liberty to approach respondent no.2 alongwith certified copy of this order within two weeks from today. In case petitioner makes an application, the authority concerned shall inform the petitioner of reasons due to which his claim for promotion is overlooked, within a period of two weeks thereafter. It would be open for the petitioner to proceed further, in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observations, writ petition stands disposed of.
