The prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the trial court to decide the Matrimonial Case No.727 of 2018, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 within specified time frame.
Learned counsel for the palintiff-petitioner points out that the court below on 07.02.2018 has held service on the defendant sufficient.
Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.
In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
