Petitioner is aggrieved by an order withholding his annual increment with cumulative effect.
Learned Standing Counsel points out that in terms of the U.P. Government Servant (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1999, petitioner has a remedy of preferring an appeal, which has not been availed of.
As the appropriate alternative remedy has not been availed, this writ petition is not entertained.
Leaving it open for the petitioner to avail the remedy of preferring an appeal before the appropriate forum, writ petition is consigned to records.
