Ramesh Kumar R.V., Advocate for R2 - Absent) This Criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos.2 to 5 are concerned in C.C. No.482/2013 (Cr. No.61/2013) of the respondent Channapatna Rural P.S., registered for the alleged offences P/U/S 143, 146, 147, 498A, 323, 506 r/w 149 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of D.P. Act, pending on the file of the C.J. (Jr. Dn.) and JMFC, Channapatna.
This Criminal petition coming on for Admission, this day, the Court made the following:
O R D E R Learned counsel for the petitioners is absent. Perused the petition.
2. Petitioners have sought to quash the proceedings in C.C. No.482/2013 pending on the file of Civil Judge (Jr. Dn.) and JMFC, Channapatna for the offence punishable under Sections 143, 146, 147, 498A, 323, 506 read with 149 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional SPP appearing for respondent No.1-State submitted that after trial, all the accused persons are acquitted for the above charges by judgment dated 21.12.2018 in C.C. No.482/2013.
4. In view of said submission, nothing survives for consideration in this petition. Accordingly, petition is dismissed.
