Madras High Court|13 June, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner college is offering B.Ed and M.Ed courses for the past 11 years after getting proper recognition and affiliation from the respondents. In 2014, the 1st respondent has notified new regulations and the same was challenged by the Association of the petitioner colleges. At the time of hearing, the 1st respondent herein submitted that a committee was formed to look over the objections raised by the colleges. On recording the same, this court disposed the case with a direction to the respondents not to take any coercive steps against the college. But contrary to the submissions made in the previous writ petition, the 3rd respondent herein has issued the impugned notification directing the petitioner to file an affidavit of undertaking to that effect that the petitioner will comply with all the regulations within 21 days time. Hence, this writ petition.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the impugned order dated 12.07.2016 passed by the third respondent has been withdrawn.
3. Recording the above said submission, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition are closed.
