JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE S.MANIKUMAR and THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE M.GOVINDARAJ H.C.P.No.2195 of 2016 Rajamanickam .. Petitioner Vs.
1. State of Tamil Nadu, Rep. By its Secretary to Government, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department, Secretariat, Chennai – 600 009.
2. The District Collector and, District Magistrate, Vellore District, Vellore - 9. .. Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of habeas corpus, call for the entire records, relating to petitioners son detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 23.08.2016 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings C3.D.O.No.52/2016 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioners son namely Elumalai S/o.Rajamanickam aged 24 years before this Hon'ble High Court and set the petitioners son at liberty.

Habeas corpus petition is filed challenging the order of detention passed by the second respondent against the detenue – Elumalai S/o.Rajamanickam in C3.D.O.No.52/2016 dated 23.08.2016.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the impugned order of detention has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.5067, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 13.10.2016. Copy of the said Government Order, submitted to this Court, shall form part of the record.
3. Recording the above, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
