JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the name of the petitioner from the History Sheet maintained in the 3rd respondent police station.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner took a contract for constructing a Ration Shop in Allur Village, Puthangudi Panchanyat in the year 2011. While doing such work, one captain and his henchmen created trouble with women workers and disturbed the petitioner's work; due to which, dispute arose between the parties. As a result, a false complaint was registered against the petitioner in Crime No.29/2011 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC, which subsequently ended in acquittal. Thereafter, no case was either registered or pending against him. Hence, he made a representation dated 02.07.2016 to all the respondents herein, requesting to delete his name from list of history sheet Rowdy/Pokiri, maintained by the 3rd respondent and the same is pending, without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the present writ petition for the above stated relief.
3. The 3rd respondent herein filed a status report, stating that the following cases are pending against the petitioner for enquiry.
(i) Sethiyathope P.S. Crime No.271/2015 under Section 110 Cr.P.C., before the learned Revenue Divisional Officer, Chidambaram,
(ii) CSR No.118/2014 before the third respondent herein, and
(iii) CSR.No.1698/2014 before the third the respondent herein.
4. However, today when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2016 would be considered and necessary orders would be passed within a time frame fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and taking note of the submissions made on either side, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:
“The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2016 with regard to deletion of his name from the history sheet rowdy maintained by the third respondent-police, if there are no cases pending against the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
