Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State authorities and Sri Shailendra Kumar Dwivedi, learned counsel for respondent no.3.
Petitioner has lost her husband in an accident. An application for payment of ex-gratia compensation in terms of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Sarvhit Beema Yojna appears to have been instituted. Grievance is that substantial time has expired but the authorities are not taking any final decision in the matter.
Learned Standing Counsel points out that a District Level Grievance Redressal Forum has been constituted under the scheme of which District Magistrate happens to be the Chairman.
In that view of the matter, we dispose off this writ petition with a direction upon second respondent to ensure that petitioner's claim is got examined, in accordance with the scheme and an appropriate decision in the matter of payment of compensation is taken, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
