JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to CC No.22 of 2017, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvotriyur and quash the same.
2. Today, the petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant along with the learned counsel for the petitioners are present. The identity of the parties has been verified. They stated that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled among themselves. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, the second respondent / defacto complainant about the factum of compromise, he admitted the same. He has also expressed no objection in quashing the criminal case in CC No.22 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvotriyur. A Joint Memo of compromise dated 20.02.2017 signed by both the parties, has been filed to that effect.
3. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the criminal proceedings in CC No.22 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvotriyur is quashed. The joint memo of compromise dated 20.02.2017 signed by both the parties is taken on record.
