Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records pertaining to the detention order dated 23.06.2017 made in No.377/BCDFGISSSV/2017 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and directing the respondents to produce the body of detenu by name Raj @ Piliki Raj, aged 28 years, S/o.Kumar, presently confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.T.Gopinath for Mr.R.Rajiv Gandhi For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in Memo No.377/BCDFGISSSV/2017 dated 23.06.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Raj @ Piliki Raj, aged 28 years, S/o.Kumar, residing at No.74, 6th Street, Annai Sivagami Nagar, Egmore, Chennai- 57 and quash the same.
2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.4023 dated 23.08.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed.
