The sole relief claimed in the instant petition is for issuance of a direction to the appellate court to decide Civil Appeal No.63 of 2012 within a specified time.
The appeal in question has been filed by the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that several dates have been fixed for hearing, but so far the court has not heard the matter.
A perusal of order sheet dated 5.10.2018 reveals that on that date, counsel for both the parties were not present, consequently, the matter was adjourned.
In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction as prayed for but leaves it open to the petitioners to impress upon their counsel the urgency in the matter so that he may argue the appeal on the next date.
The petition stands disposed of.
