Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to inadvertent, petitioner could not fill up the question booklet series on the OMR Answer Sheet due to which his OMR Answer Sheet has not been evaluated. He next submitted that he may be permitted to fill up the question booklet series on the OMR Answer Sheet and a direction may be issued to respondent no. 2 to permit the petitioner to fill up the question booklet series on the OMR Answer Sheet.
Learned Standing Counsel submitted that in the Important Instructions provided on the question paper, it has been clearly mentioned that it is necessarily required on the part of candidate to indicate all given facts including question booklet series on the provided OMR Answer Sheet, therefore, no relief can be granted. It is responsibility of the petitioner to fill up the same. The Important Instructions is quoted below:-
"2. The candidate should indicate his Registration No., Roll No., Question Booklet Series at the space provided on the OMR Answer Sheet will not be evaluated and the candidate will be solely responsible for it."
Considering the aforesaid Important Instructions, no relief can be granted. The writ petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
