Petitioner's claim for reimbursement of medical bills is stated to be pending before respondent nos.2 and 3 since 2019. It is contended that once the competent authority has already approved the medical bills, the respondents could not have withheld release of amount against it.
Sri J.B. Singh appearing for the respondent nos.2 and 3 states that the payment apparently has not been released due to lack of necessary finance, and depending upon availability of fund, petitioner's claim would be addressed.
In the facts of the present case, it would be appropriate to call up respondent no.1 to examine the issue and to ensure that bills, which have been duly processed and approved by the competent authority, are not kept pending any further and also ensure that necessary fund is credited to the account of petitioner, within a reasonable period. Necessary action, in that regard, would be taken forthwith to ensure that such amount gets released, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a copy of this order.
In view of the above observations/directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
The concerned Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of computerized copy of this order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall act accordingly without waiting for submission of the certified copy of this order.
