An order of transfer passed by Superintendent of Police, Shrawasti is assailed in this petition.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that this petition is not maintainable, inasmuch no part of cause of action has arisen within the territorial limits of this Court.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner is a resident of District Meerut.
Law is settled that residence of an employee would not constitute a part of cause of action. Order against the petitioner has been passed by Superintendent of Police, Shrawasti. This Court, therefore, would have no territorial jurisdiction to entertain the writ petition.
Leaving it open for the petitioner to pursue his remedy before the appropriate forum, this petition is consigned to records.
