(ORAL) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 26.10.2017 passed by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil Meerut, District Meerut suspending the fair price shop licence of the petitioner.
From a perusal of the suspension order, it appears that the petitioner had been granted opportunity to file an explanation along with original copies of all documentary evidence of distribution of essential commodities for the past six months. The petitioner has not filed such an explanation.
This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Licensing Authority that in case, the petitioner files such a representation along with documentary evidence within a period of 15 days from today, the Licensing Authority shall consider the same and pass a reasoned and speaking order thereafter in accordance with law within a further period of four weeks.
