Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Surya Bhan Singh, learned Standing Counsel.
Present writ petition has been preferred for a direction to respondents to forthwith pay ex-gratia amount of Rs.5,00,000/- to the petitioner, on the unfortunate death of her husband while on duty, w.e.f. 18.5.2004 with 18% interest.
It is contended that for redressal of her grievance, the petitioner has also made representation to the Superintendent of Police, Balia on 28.12.2020 but till date no decision has been taken.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and with the consent, the writ petition stands disposed of asking the authority concerned to decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within two months from the date of production of copy of this order.
The party shall file computer generated copy of such order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad, self attested by the petitioner alongwith a self attested identity proof of the said person (preferably Aadhar Card) mentioning the mobile number to which the said Aadhar Card is linked.
The concerned Court/Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerized copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall make a declaration of such verification in writing.
