1. Petitioners, admittedly, were appointed on honorarium basis as Demonstrators in Government College Lucknow and were regularized on same post. Their claim for designation as “Assistant Lecturer”, has been rejected vide impugned order dated 03.06.2012 passed by Director, Technical Education, U.P. and this order has been impugned in present writ petition.
2. Counsel for petitioner has also stated that petitioner 1 has died and there is no substitution, therefore, writ petition is abated qua petitioner 1 and is surviving only for petitioners 2 and 3.
3. It is not in dispute that post of “Assistant Lecturer” and “Arts Demonstrator” are different posts with different duties and responsibilities. This fact has been noticed by Director, Technical Education, in impugned order which reads as under:-

Duties and responsibilities:-
Teaching works to the students of theory and practical subjects.
Instructor Drawing (Art Instructor):- I.T.I certificate in Draftman and two years experience in drawing office. Duties and responsibilities:- To teach students on practical subjects.”
4. When questioned learned counsel for petitioner could not dispute that petitioners were appointed as “Demonstrator”. We, therefore, do not find any substance in the claim of petitioners that they should be given designation of Assistant Lecturers. The same has been rightly rejected by Director, Technical Education, U.P.
5. Writ petition lacks merit. Dismissed.
