Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The relief claimed by the petitioner in the writ petition reads thus:
"i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to pass an appropriate order for grant of licence of S.B.B.L. Gun on report of Sub-ordinate authorities for recommending grant of gun licence subjudice before District Magistrate since 4.6.2018."
In paragraph 11 of the writ petition it is stated that the Superintendent of Police, Allahabad has submitted report on 26.7.2018 recommending grant of arms licence to the petitioner.
In view thereof, without entering into the merits of the case, as well as, contention raised by learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is being disposed of with direction to the second respondent, District Magistrate, Allahabad to consider and redress the grievance of the petitioner by passing appropriate orders thereon, expeditiously, preferably within four months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order.
