Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Learned counsel for the petitioner precisely states that the husband of the petitioner was working as Beldar in the Public Works Department and died in harness on 12.7.2019. After the death of her husband, the petitioner has submitted an application before the respondent no.2 for her appointment on compassionate ground as well as payment of arrears of pay, gratuity, GPF and insurance alognwith interest, which is still pending. She has confined her prayer only to the relief that her application/representation dated 4.9.2019 may be considered by the appropriate authority.
Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection to the said prayer.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending.
In view of above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the respondent no.2, Executive Engineer, Construction Division-II, Public Works Department, Kanpur Nagar to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before him.
