JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition filed under Section 439(1) Cr.P.C.
2. Petitioner is the 6th accused in Crime No.832 of 2014 of Muvattupuzha Police Station registered for the offences under Sections 489B and 489C read with Section 34 IPC.
3. The prosecution case is that one of the co-accused was apprehended by the police when he produced a counterfeit currency note at the counter of a Bank. Search of the residence of the accused including the petitioner resulted in the seizure of counterfeit currencies of Rs. 59,500/- which were of Rs.1000/- and Rs. 500/- denominations. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that there was no seizure from the petitioner and there is no evidence to show that he is guilty of the offences and he may be released on bail taking into consideration the period he has been in custody.
4. Heard both sides.
5. The seizure was made form the building in which the B.A. No. 2973 of 2014 -2-
petitioner along with other accused was residing. All of them are from West Bengal. The facts of the case prima faice indicate commission of the offences by all the accused including the petitioner. A through investigation is necessary in this matter. Releasing the petitioner on bail at this stage will certainly affect the investigation. There is also every likelihood of his absconding and committing the same or similar offences. So I am not inclined to grant him bail.
In the result, this application is dismissed.
K.ABRAHAM MATHEW, JUDGE.
