JUDGMENT / ORDER

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS DATED : 19.01.2017 CORAM THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE R.MAHADEVAN Crl.O.P.No.27460 of 2016 Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioners and his family members.
For Petitioners : Mr.T.Balachandran For respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioners and their family members.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that their son Sakthivel eloped with one Saraswathi. Hence, a complaint came to be lodged by the mother of the said Saraswathi, pursuant to which, the petitioners have been harassed by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present petition seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass them and their relatives.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no such harassment was made by the respondent police and only based on the complaint given by the mother of the said Saraswathi, the respondent police is conducting investigation and the petitioners are required to cooperate with the police authorities with regard to the investigation to be conducted.
4. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. Since there is no harassment by the respondent police, the present criminal original petition is closed.
