THIS CRIMINAL PETITION COMING ON FOR ADMISSION THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
O R D E R Petitioner has sought for quashing of the proceedings in Crime No. 87/2017 registered by Jnanabarathi Police Station for the offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC which proceedings are pending on the file of IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru.
Since matter was listed on 21.02.2019 and none appeared, this Court was perforced to make enquiry with the Registrar of City Civil Court, Bengaluru through Registry of this Court in order to ascertain the present status of the proceedings now pending in C.C.No.33208/2018 on the file of the jurisdictional Magistrate namely, IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. By communication dated 26.02.2019 addressed to the Registrar, City Civil Court , Bengaluru, a copy of which is forwarded to the Registrar (Judicial) it is stated thereunder that C.C.No.33208/2018 has been disposed of on 25.02.2019 and accused persons have been acquitted of the offences.
In that view of the matter, prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
