Sattamma … Petitioner and District Collector, Ranga Reddy District and another … Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.15751 OF 2004 O R D E R Grievance of the petitioner in this case was with regard to the alleged inaction on the part of the Revenue authorities in resuming the land in Sy.No.41 of Khenamet village, Serilingampalle Mandal, Ranga Reddy District and handing it over to her.
The Mandal Revenue Officer, Serilingampalle Mandal, filed a counter- affidavit stating that the petitioner, being the assignee of the subject land, was a party to the sale of the same in violation of the provisions of the A.P. Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977. He further stated that owing to this violation, the assigned land was resumed under proceedings dated 31-03-1998 and the said orders were challenged before this Court in W.P. No.11311 of 1998. The said writ petition was stated to be pending as on the date of filing of the counter. It was further stated that the land was resumed to the possession of the Government under the cover of Panchanama dated 01-04-1998.
In the light of the aforestated developments, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive for separate consideration in this writ petition and the writ petition is accordingly closed. It shall be open to the petitioner to work out her remedies in accordance with law in the other writ petition, if still pending or by way of separate proceedings, if so advised. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
