JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner states that pursuant to a dispute between him and his wife, his wife left the matrimonial home and after some period, she came back and both of them lived peacefully. Again, a dispute arose between them and pursuant to the same, she sent a legal notice to him and also threatened him that she will engage hooligans to kill him. Subsequently, the petitioner received a phone call from an unknown person from Virugambakkam Police Station stating that he will do away with the petitioner. Immediately, the petitioner gave a complaint before the second respondent police on 08.04.2017. Even though the said complaint was received and a receipt in C.S.R.No.71/2017 was issued to the petitioner, no case has been registered and nothing proceeded with. The petitioner also approached the first respondent on 25.04.2017 in this regard, but in vain. Hence this Criminal Original Petition.
