JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to scrutinize the documents submitted by him along with the letter dated 27.07.2017 and get it verified the genuineness of his claim through 2nd respondent, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court and consequently issue the legal heirship certificate to him.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's application dated 27.07.2017, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' application dated 21.07.2017 and pass orders within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.07.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
