For Petitioner : Mr.P.Krishnan For Respondents : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to file the final report in Crime No.155 of 2014 pending on the file of the second respondent within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that on the basis of the complaint lodged by one S.P.Velayutham, a case in Crime No.155 of 2014 was registered against 11 persons, one among whom is the petitioner herein, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 420, 447, 467, 468, 471 and 506(ii) IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 10.10.2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.155 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
