Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation/appeal dated 28.10.2016 followed with reminders dated 17.03.2017, 13.07.2017 and 28.10.2017 to include the petitioner in the panel of Deputy Thasildhars list of the year 2016 so as to enable the 2nd respondent to promote the petitioner as Deputy Thasildhar without giving due weightage and relaxing the 1st respondent's Circular No.52/2004, dated 17.12.2004.

Senthil Vel, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation/appeal dated 28.10.2016 followed by reminders dated 17.03.2017, 13.07.2017 and 28.10.2017 to include her name in the panel of Deputy Thasildhars' list for the year 2016 so as to enable the 2nd respondent to promote her as Deputy Thasildhar without giving due weightage and relaxing the 1st respondent's Circular dated 17.12.2004.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has giver her representation as early as on dated 28.10.2016, followed by reminders dated 17.03.2017, 13.07.2017 and 28.10.2017, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.R.A.S. Senthil Vel, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representations and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2016, followed by reminders dated 17.03.2017, 13.07.2017 and 28.10.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
