JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners, who apprehend arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) of IPC and Section 3(1)(r) and 3(2) (va) of the SC/ST Act, 2015 in Crime No.317 of 2017 on the file of the respondent Police, have filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge of Trippur to consider their bail application on the same day on merits.
2. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge of Trippur is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consider their bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioners surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail.
5. This petition is ordered accordingly disposed of.
