JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner would aver that his father namely A.Rajendiran was working as Village Assistant in Vinnamangalam Village, Ambur Taluk, Vellore District and died in harness on 26.05.2009 leaving behind his mother, three sisters and a brother. The brother of the petitioner Mr.R.Then Amudhan has submitted an application/representation dated 04.07.2011 seeking appointment on compassionate ground and later on, he left the family. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.08.2016 to the first respondent praying for appointment on compassionate ground and the first respondent vide letter in Na.ka.A5/12840/16 dated 26.09.2016 directed the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action on the application dated 22.08.2016 submitted by the petitioner and sent proposal along with documents. Since no orders have been passed so far, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Mr.V.Raghupathi, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the light of the communication of the 1st respondent to the 3rd respondent, appropriate orders may be passed.
4. Per contra, Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner is beyond the period of three years and therefore, the plea made by the petitioner cannot be accepted.
5. This Court has considered the rival submissions and also perused the materials placed before it.
6. Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to act on the communication of the 1st respondent dated 26.09.2016, if the papers are otherwise in order, and forward the proposal to the 1st respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the first respondent upon receipt of the same, is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a further period of six weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
