Respondents Prayers: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the statutory appeal under Section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act 1983 submitted by the petitioner on 12.01.2017 received by the 1st respondent on 19.01.2017 as against the order of rejection of Patta by the 2nd respondent dated 23.03.2016, relating to the petitioner's property in Survey No.101, 102/1C1B and 102/2B in Kanagambal Nagar, Mathur Village, Madavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District to an extent of 1582 Sq.ft. of vacant land.

O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying to direct the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the statutory appeal under Section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act 1983 submitted by him on 12.01.2017, received by the 1st respondent on 19.01.2017, as against the order of rejection of Patta by the 2nd respondent dated 23.03.2016, relating to the petitioner's property in Survey No.101, 102/1C1B and 102/2B in Kanagambal Nagar, Mathur Village, Madavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District to an extent of 1582 Sq.ft. of vacant land.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition to dispose of the statutory appeal, with in the time prescribed by this Court.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that the said statutory appeal is made only on 12.01.2017 and the first respondent will consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.
4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's statutory appeal, dated 12.01.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
