Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 06.08.2016 and to take immediate steps to acquire the land under the Tamil Nadu Acquisition for Harijan Welfare Scheme Act, 1978 inview of the order in W.A.No.1674 of 2003 dated 07.07.2006 and to provide house site patta to the petitioners.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that inspite of the petitioners' representation dated 06.08.2016 to acquire the land and to provide house site patta to the petitioners, the respondents have not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders in accordance with law.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 06.08.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
