O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying to direct the 1st respondent to consider the certified copy of the mark sheet furnished by the respondents 2 and 3 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to include his name in the provisional selection list of Graduate Assistant post of History (Telugu) as per the petitioner's seniority for getting appointed as Graduate Assistant History (Telugu), within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has registered his name in the District Employment Office, Thiruvallore, on 19.02.1992, based on his educational qualification B.A.(History) B.Ed. The petitioner was asked to appear for certificate verification on 08.01.2012 for the post of Graduate Assistants of Minority languages and subjects. On that day petitioner appeared for certificate verification with all the originals and with xerox copies of plus two English mark sheet and the same was received and the originals were verified by the 1st respondent. The provisional list was published by the first respondent, but the petitioner's name was not selected for the said post. Therefore the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that the last candidate selected under Minority History Telugu General Turn was with the employment seniority date of 15.04.1991. The petitioner also belongs to General Turn and the employment seniority date of the petitioner is 19.02.1992. He was not come under the selection zone. Therefore, the Board has not considered the petitioner's name for the post of Graduate Assistant of Minority languages and subjects.

In view of the submission made by both the parties, it seems that the petitioner belongs to General Turn employment seniority for the post of Graduate Assistant History (Telugu) and the seniority date of the petitioner is 19.02.1992, whereas the last candidate selected under GT History (Telugu) was 15.04.1991. Therefore, the petitioner has not come under the selection zone. Hence, the petitioner is not eligible for consideration for the post of Graduate Assistant post of History (Telugu) and there is no merits in the above Writ Petition. Hence, the Writ Petition fails. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
