JUDGMENT / ORDER

Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, directing the respondents, particularly, the second respondent herein, to produce the body and person of the detenue, by name, Bakkiyalakshmi, wife of the petitioner herein, who has been illegally detained by the third respondent herein, before this court and to set her at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.K.Muruganantham For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, APP for RR1 and 2 ORDER [Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J] Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
2 This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a direction to the second respondent to produce the detenue, namely, Bakkiyalakshmi, who is the wife of the petitioner, before this court and to set her at liberty.
3 Today, when the matter had been taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, had submitted that the detenue, namely, Bakkiyalakshmi, who is the wife of the petitioner herein, aged about 20 years, had appeared before the Kalavai Police Station, Vellore District and had made a statement that she would like to go back and live with the petitioner herein. Thereafter, the detenue had been produced before the Court of District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Arcot, relating to Crime No.233 of 2016, on the file of Kalavai Police Station, and her statement had also been recorded before the said Court.
4 In such circumstances, this Court is of the considered view that no further orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
