The contention of the petitioners is that though there are other meritorious candidates, who have obtained higher marks in the written examination, but they have been awarded lesser marks in interview, while the candidates belonging to a particular caste, who have been awarded much lesser marks in the written examination, have been awarded marks between 136 to 140.
The allegation of malafide has been raised in the petition.
Sri C.B. Yadav, Advocate, who appears on behalf of respondent nos. 2, 3 and 4 may file counter affidavit within three weeks. Learned Standing Counsel, who appears on behalf of respondent no. 1, may also file counter affidavit within the same period.
