Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Ashish Kumar Srivastava counsel for the Land Management Committee, respondent no.3.
The petition arises out of proceedings under Section 198(4) of the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, whereunder, the Collector has passed an order cancelling the allotment made in favour of the petitioner.
The petitioner has preferred a revision before the Board of Revenue, which is pending pending consideration.
The petitioner seeks the following relief -
"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2, the Board of Revenue, U.P. at Allahabad to expeditiously decide the Revision no.1370/2017 -'Puran Vs. State & others, u/s 333 of U.P.Z.A. & L.R.Act, pending before it."
From the perusal of the order sheet, it transpires that the matter is being listed for consideration of an application for extension of the interim order.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the Board of Revenue may endeavour to decide the revision as expeditiously as possible.
It is, further directed that the Board of Revenue instead of directing itself to the question of extension of interim order must in the same time, decide the revision itself, if it is otherwise ready and ripe for hearing.
