1. This writ petition is a letter sent by detenue from jail. It was said that he is in jail since 09.06.1978 and therefore, further period in jail be remitted.
2. Sri Syed Ali Murtaza, learned AGA has filed an affidavit, stating that petitioner has already been released from Central Jail, Varanasi on 09.09.1996.
3. In the circumstances, nothing survives.
4. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
