JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners in all the above Writ Petitions are concerned with the recovery steps initiated against them as per the assessment orders passed against them allegedly without proper opportunity to put forward their contentions. At present, admittedly, the petitioners have filed appeals against the assessment orders all within time, and have also moved stay applications in the respective appeals filed by them; evidenced by Exts.P10 to P12 in all the Writ Petitions. The limited prayer is for a direction to consider the same expeditiously and to keep the recovery proceedings in abeyance till such consideration is made. 2. In the context of the limited prayers made, this Court is of the opinion that, the Writ Petitions can be W.P.(C) Nos. 12791 of 2014 & connected matters 2 disposed of directing the 1st appellate authority, the 2nd respondent to consider the stay applications within a period of one month from today and the recovery proceedings shall be kept in abeyance till orders are passed on the stay applications, and then be determined by such orders. The petitioners shall produce a copy of the judgment before the appellate authority within a week from today.
With the above directions and observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
