JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the pending review application dated 16.12.2016 within a stipulated time.
2. As against the order dated 17.10.2016 passed by the appellate authority for reduction of pay by one stage in the time scale of pay of AGM for a period of one year without cumulative effect, which will not have an adverse effect on the retirement benefits of the petitioner, a review application has been preferred. Since the said review application has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.S.Vijayakumar, learned standing counsel taking notice on behalf of the respondents sought for ten weeks time to pass appropriate orders on merits on the pending review application filed by the petitioner.
4. Placing on record his submission, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider and dispose of the pending review application filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
