P.Subramania Reddy vs /

Madras High Court|28 March, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The writ petitioner filed this writ petition with a prayer to restore his Telephone connection bearing Telephone No.680790.
2. The Complaint made out by the writ petitioner is that inspite of payment of the bill demanded by the respondent effected in time, the telephone connection which was disconnected by the respondent was not restored.
3. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner is unable to secure proper instructions with regard to the present status of the Telephone connection and its restoration.
4. Such being the case, the nature of request of the writ petitioner after a lapse of 12 years, becomes unnecessary. Securing a Telephone connection in the present day circumstances is not a big task and telephone installation is done on an application made in a simplified manner by the Department and therefore the present writ petition need not be considered.
5. Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed as devoid of merits. No order as to cost.
