JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, Driver Grade I, was initially working in Cherthala Depot of the respondent Corporation. The petitioner is said to be a heart patient undergoing intensive treatment since 2006. In proof of the treatment he has been undergoing, the petitioner places on record Exts.P1 to P3 medical certificates. Presently, the petitioner has been transferred to Mavelikkara Depot through Ext.P5 transfer order. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner is said to have submitted Ext.P6 representation before the first respondent seeking transfer back to Cherthala. For expeditious disposal of Ext.P6 representation, the W.P.(C.) No. 33306/2014 -2-
petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been suffering from acute heart disorder and he needs constant medical attention. According to him, at the place where he was working earlier i.e., the Cherthala Depot, the petitioner could have the requisite medical facility.
Be that as it may, in the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's Ext.P6 representation in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. No order as to costs.
