In terms of order dated 5.10.2017, proceedings under Section 12 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 were required to be decided expeditiously, keeping in mind provisions of Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
A perusal of the order sheet reveals that issues were framed in the case on 13.11.2017 and since thereafter, short dates are being fixed. The Court remained vacant for a considerable period of time on account of which the matter got adjourned on several dates.
Having regard to these facts, this Court is not inclined to proceed in contempt at this stage, but in case, the proceedings are inordinately delayed, it shall be open to the applicant to approach this Court by way of a fresh petition.
The contempt application stands disposed of accordingly.
