Sri S.K. Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not propose to press the first prayer of the writ petition. To the second prayer, it is said that the petitioner had filed election petition before the competent court on 10.05.2021 challenging the election results of respondent no. 5 as Gram Pradhan. The only submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is to issue direction to the Election Tribunal to decide the same within a stipulated period.
Considering the above prayer, we do not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the writ petition is being disposed of with the observation that the Election Tribunal concerned shall make an endeavour to decide the election petition in an expeditious manner preferably within the stipulated period for disposal of the same.
