Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Apurva Hejela, learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner is before this Court for a direction to the respondents to take decision on the proposal dated 26.2.2019 made by respondent for appointment of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in response to the Advertisement No.14/63/2014 the petitioner got selected on the post of Scientific Assistant under OBC category. It appears that the petitioner was placed in the wait list under the said recruitment. The petitioner has been informed vide letter dated 26.2.2019 (Annexure No.8 to the writ petition) that the process is on to consider the candidature of the petitioner and the same would be informed accordingly. The petitioner has prayed for direction to the respondents to redress his grievance.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and with the consent, the writ petition stands disposed of asking the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate order in the light of the letter dated 26.2.2019 preferably within six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
