Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos. 1, 2 ,3 and 4.
The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent no. 4- Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, Allahabad, U.P. to provide scanned copy of the answer sheet to the petitioners for the Examination of Assistant Teacher Recruitment Exam, 2018.
At present, the grievance of the petitioners appears to be that though they had correctly answered certain questions in the competitive entrance examination, they have not been given benefit of marks for some of the correct answers marked by them. In this regard, their application to be supplied scanned copy of their OMR sheets, are pending.
It is stated that since the scanned answer sheets have not been made available, the petitioners are not able to compare their answers so as to check the correctness of marks awarded to the petitioners in the results.
Without entering the merits, the present writ petition is disposed of. Subject to the petitioners making necessary application upon depositing the prescribed fees Rs. 2,000/- along with certified copy of this order, within one week from today, the respondent no. 4- Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, Allahabad, U.P. shall provide the scanned copy of their answer-sheets to the petitioners, within a period of ten days from the date of application.
It is also open to the petitioners to institute appropriate proceedings before appropriate forum, in case their grievances survive after the scanned copy of their answer sheets are made available to them.
