Petitioner apprehends arrest in Crime No.55 of 2014 of the Excise Range Office, Perumbavoor for various offences under the Abkari Act (for short, "the Act”).
2. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that as per report dated 27.06.2014 of the Assistant Excise Inspector, Perumbavoor, petitioner is not made an accused.
3. In that view of the matter, apprehension of the petitioner at present is not justified. It is directed that in case interrogation of the petitioner is required, a notice under Sec.48 of the Act shall be served on the petitioner.
The application is disposed of with the above direction.
