This Writ Petition coming on for Preliminary Hearing in ‘B’ Group, this day, the Court made the following:-
ORDER Sri. D.S. Shivananda, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Sri. Vijay Kumar A. Patil, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 and 2.
The petition is admitted for hearing. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the same is heard finally.
2. In this petition, the petitioner inter alia has assailed the validity of the order dated 21.07.2018 by which the petitioner has been asked to apprise the respondent as to within how much time he will complete the contract awarded to him as well as status of printing of sixteen volume of “Dr. V.K. Gokak’s Samagra Sahitya Samputa”.
3. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petition be disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to submit a representation with regard to his grievance to respondent Nos.3 and 4 and the aforesaid authority be directed to decide the same in accordance with law in a time bound manner.
4. In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos.3 and 4 that in case the petitioner submits a representation with regard to his grievance within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, shall take decision on the representation submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of such a representation.
5. Needless to state that interim order dated 20.08.2018 shall continue till the representation to be submitted by the petitioner is decided.
6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and claim of the parties.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
