Court No. - 59
Case :- CONTEMPT APPLICATION (CIVIL) No. - 2954 of 2018 Applicant :- Prince Yadav Opposite Party :- Sri Girish Prasad Sharma, The Chairman, U.P. Police Recruitment And Promotion Board Counsel for Applicant :- Anoop Baranwal
Hon'ble Yashwant Varma,J.
Heard learned counsel for the applicant.
This petition alleges disobedience of an order dated 20 October 2016 which had disposed of the writ petition with the observation that the Chairman of the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board would consider the grievance of the applicant and allow him to appear before the Review Medical Board. In the entire Affidavit which has been filed in support of this petition, there is no disclosure of what steps the applicant took post the order passed by the Court. There is also no disclosure as to whether the applicant appeared before the Review Medical Board and if so what was the result thereof.
The sole ground on which this petition is based and pressed is that a fresh advertisement has been issued on 13 March 2018. However, this fact alone cannot possibly constitute a valid ground to initiate proceedings in contempt. In the absence of any other such disclosure, the Court finds no ground to initiate proceedings in contempt.
The petition is dismissed.
